Job Description

As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the stability and efficiency of our business systems. You will act as a software detective, identifying and resolving issues across multiple system components. This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless software operations.

Your daily tasks will involve diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting system problems, developing solutions, and providing technical support to end-users. You will also contribute to team discussions, propose innovative solutions, and continuously enhance system performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Become an SME (Subject Matter Expert). You are expected to take ownership of your role, gaining in-depth knowledge of EPIC Systems and providing expert-level support.
  2. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution. Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve software-related issues to ensure uninterrupted system operations.
  3. Collaboration & Communication. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and end-users, to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions.
  4. Technical Support & Guidance. Provide assistance and technical guidance to end-users, ensuring they can effectively use the system without disruptions.
  5. Solution Implementation. Develop and implement software solutions aimed at improving overall system efficiency and performance.
  6. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing. Maintain comprehensive documentation of issues encountered, resolutions provided, and best practices to streamline future troubleshooting efforts.
  7. Continuous Improvement. Actively participate in team discussions, contribute innovative ideas, and help in optimizing existing processes for better service delivery.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

  1. EPIC Systems Expertise. Strong experience in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing EPIC Systems.
  2. Technical Troubleshooting. Ability to analyze software defects, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  3. Software Development & Implementation. Hands-on experience in implementing software fixes and updates.
  4. Database Management & SQL. Good understanding of SQL queries and database operations to support system troubleshooting and enhancements.
  5. IT Service Management Tools. Familiarity with tools used for tracking, diagnosing, and resolving software issues.
  6. Communication & Teamwork. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and end-users.
