As an Application Developer within IBM Consulting's Client Innovation Centers, you'll play a critical role in driving innovation and delivering technical excellence to a diverse range of clients globally. You will lead the charge in modernizing applications to container-based platforms using cutting-edge technologies like EKS, ECS, and Fargate, while leveraging your expertise in DevOps tools and orchestration engines such as Kubernetes and Mesos.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the modernization of applications to container-based platforms like EKS, ECS, and Fargate, leveraging DevOps tools and orchestration engines such as Kubernetes and Mesos.
- Utilize your expertise in Java8, Spring Boot, SQL, Postgres DB, and AWS, with additional skills in React, Redux, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AWS Deployment Services, AWS Beanstalk, AWS Cloud9, AWS CodeStar, AWS CLI, and hands-on experience with various AWS services like ECS, ECR, EKS, Lambda, Elastic Cache, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and SNS.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Showcase creative problem-solving skills and superb communication abilities.
- Minimum of 3 engagements modernizing client applications to container-based solutions.
- Expertise in at least one programming language like Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Angular.js.
Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
- Experience in distributed/scalable systems.
- Knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code.
- Knowledge/Experience of Development/Build/Deploy/Test life cycle.
