Insight Global's client is seeking a skilled AWS Serverless Engineer to join their team. This position is ideal for a Senior Engineer with extensive experience in backend development, particularly in designing and implementing solutions using AWS Serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda. You will play a crucial role in building an advanced Omni Channel digital platform that supports both customers and store associates, leveraging Node.js and TypeScript within a cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend solutions using AWS Serverless technologies, with a strong focus on AWS Lambda functions.
- Architect and implement microservices using TypeScript within the AWS Cloud environment.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs that are robust, efficient, and meet scalability requirements.
- Lead and contribute to design discussions, providing insights on industry standards, best practices, and innovative solutions.
- Take ownership of key components of the digital platform, from initial design to production deployment and support.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and product/project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Implement end-to-end solutions independently, including automating tests, deployment pipelines, and working within a cloud-based infrastructure.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and advancements in AWS services to continuously enhance technical expertise and contribute to the team's growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development for web applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless technologies, specifically AWS Lambda.
- Proficiency in Node.js and solid experience with TypeScript for backend development.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native principles and experience working within a cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
