Insight Global is seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to join the Solutions Architecture and DevOps team for one of our Fortune 500 clients. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify solution challenges and opportunities, working alongside a talented team of application developers, engineers, and designers to deliver innovative technology solutions using Azure/AWS public cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration. Work closely with application developers, engineers, and designers to deliver innovative technology solutions leveraging Azure/AWS public cloud services.
- Technical Requirements. Collect and define technical requirements to enable business processes and integrations.
- Project Estimation. Establish approximate levels of effort and staffing requirements for complex development projects.
- Leadership. Lead a team of software engineers and technical leads in designing effective, scalable, and secure applications within the organization’s cloud software platform.
- Quality Assurance. Ensure that solutions developed by the team adhere to technical architecture standards.
- Continuous Learning. Stay updated on emerging technology trends and foster an environment of learning within the team.
Must-Haves
- Experience. Minimum of 5 years in Solution Architecture; relevant experience and/or education may be considered.
- Cloud Solutions. 3+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT Cloud solutions.
- Architectural Knowledge. Strong understanding of Software Engineering principles and architectural components and their interrelationships.
- Certification. AWS Certification – Solutions Architect Professional is desirable.
- Development Lifecycle. Knowledge of full software development lifecycle processes, including enterprise application installation, maintenance, and third-party API integrations.
- Programming Skills. Proficient in programming languages such as C# and Python.
- Networking & Security. Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP) and security foundations (Identity and Access Management).
- DevOps Practices. Experience with cloud-specific patterns, container technologies, and data stores.
- Communication Skills. Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple business language and possess strong executive communication skills.
