Job Description

As an Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Deployment product area, contributing to the development of modern deployment pipelines and supporting agile practices. Your work will ensure high-quality backend frameworks and deployment solutions that are critical to SimCorp’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and Development. Take ownership of the design, development, and maintenance of Azure-hosted services and deployment pipelines.
  2. Automation. Build efficient pipelines for deployment automation of mission-critical systems, enabling DevOps practices across development teams.
  3. Collaboration. Work closely with Tech Leads, System Architects, and developers to address architectural issues and enhance automation capabilities.
  4. Support DevOps Practices. Assist development teams in adopting best practices for frequent deployments and operational efficiency.
  5. Continuous Improvement. Engage in design sessions, suggest best engineering practices, and contribute to a culture of learning and sharing within the team.
  6. Problem-Solving. Work independently or collaboratively on complex issues and share insights to enhance team performance.

Qualifications

  1. Experience. 5-8 years of experience with the .NET platform and Azure DevOps, including 3 years as a cloud engineer.
  2. Technical Skills. Extensive knowledge of Azure services (Storage, Compute, Function Apps, Networking, etc.) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, PowerShell, ARM, Terraform).
  3. API Development. Experience in using and building APIs (OWASP, OpenAPI).
  4. Testing. Proficient in writing automated tests with a TDD approach.
  5. Troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
  6. Communication. Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  7. Fintech Background. Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.
