As part of our Product & Engineering team, you’ll play a critical role in developing high-performance backend systems that empower HR and payroll automation for thousands of businesses across India.
Experience. 3 + years
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain scalable backend components using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and UX designers to build intuitive, performant, and reliable HR solutions.
- Design RESTful APIs and backend services with a strong emphasis on performance, security, and scalability.
- Build and optimize SQL queries for high-traffic systems with real-time processing.
- Follow engineering best practices CI/CD, unit testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Solve complex problems involving algorithms, data structures, and application architecture.
- Occasionally work on customer issues and production debugging your code doesn’t live in isolation.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in code quality, process, and product innovation.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of Java (Java 8+)
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA, and Hibernate
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases
- Solid experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture (basic level acceptable)
- Exposure to AWS Cloud services (EC2, S3, etc.)
- Enthusiasm for writing clean, modular, and testable code
- Proactive attitude and ownership mindset
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience in React Native or mobile-first systems
- Knowledge of Angular frontend framework
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Prior work in HRTech, SaaS, or high-traffic applications
- Passion for automation, performance tuning, and system design
