We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Backend Software Developer for the B2Bi SaaS development team within IBM’s Sustainability Software business unit. This team focuses on the B2B Integration product, a multi-enterprise cloud-based platform that enhances supply chain operations by automating and digitizing B2B transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration. Work closely with development team members, product management, and designers to integrate and enhance visibility capabilities within IBM B2B Solutions.
- Development. Write, test, and maintain code for development deliverables, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality expectations.
- Support. Assist in the troubleshooting and support of existing solutions, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience. 4+ years in software development, specifically with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks/libraries like jQuery, Node.js, Angular.js, and React.
- Languages. Proficient in at least two of the following: JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Database Skills. Strong integration skills with SQL/NoSQL databases (such as DB2 and Couchbase).
- Web Development. Familiarity with web development practices, APIs, web services, and agile methodologies.
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- CI/CD. Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Performance Tuning: Experience in web interface performance optimization.
- Site Reliability: Knowledge of site reliability engineering concepts.
- Collaboration: Experience working with global teams across various time zones.
- Automation Tools: Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools.
