Job Roles/Duties & Responsibilities
- Data Strategy Development
Collaborate with management and IT teams to formulate a comprehensive data strategy aligned with corporate needs and industry requirements.
- Data Inventory
Create and maintain an inventory of data essential for building and implementing data architectures.
- Data Flow Design
Envision data pipelines and ensure the seamless flow of data throughout the enterprise.
- Documentation and Repository Management
Maintain a repository of all data architecture procedures and artifacts for reference and collaboration.
- Technology Evaluation
Evaluate existing data management technologies and identify additional tools required for optimal performance.
- Architecture Upgrades
Determine and implement upgrades and improvements to current data architectures.
- Database Architecture
Design, document, build, and implement database architectures and applications.
- Data Modeling
Build data models for database structures, analytics, and AI applications.
- Standard Enforcement
Develop and enforce database development standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Integration of Systems
Integrate new systems, ensuring considerations for security, performance, scalability, reliability, and data recovery.
Technical Skills
- Applied mathematics and statistics
- Data visualization, data migration, and data modeling
- Relational database management systems, including SQL Server
- Database and cloud computing design, architectures, and data lakes
- Hadoop technologies (e.g., Pig, Hive, MapReduce)
- Information management and data processing on multiple platforms
- Programming languages. Java, Python, Golang, Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Operating systems. Unix, Linux, Solaris, Windows
- Application server software, backup, and archival software
- Data management and reporting technologies, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data
Soft Skills
