Job Description

We are building a cutting-edge Liquidity Risk and Collateral Management Platform for one of the world’s largest investment banks. This platform is designed to increase efficiency, scalability, and reduce operational risks by automating manual processes involved in managing margin calls. The platform consists of a powerful back-end engine and advanced front-end tools, providing an integrated solution to streamline bank operations globally.

As part of our growing team in Pune, we are seeking talented and experienced Big Data Developers to help drive this mission forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global teams to design, develop, and implement new functionalities on the Liquidity Risk platform.
  • Enhance the platform’s performance, scalability, and reliability to support critical banking operations.
  • Work on big data technologies to streamline risk monitoring, reporting, and collateral management processes.
  • Contribute to the development of highly scalable back-end engines and user-friendly front-end tools.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to understand the evolving requirements and deliver efficient solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Big Data Experience. 6+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data development and management.
  2. Programming Languages. Proficiency in Java, Python, and J2EE.
  3. Big Data Technologies. Expertise in Apache Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala, Yarn, Talend, and Hue.
  4. SQL Databases. Experience with SQL databases and working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting.
  5. Reporting & Analysis. Strong knowledge in Big Data querying, reporting, and analysis.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Spark Calculators for business logic and rules-based computation.
  • Basic knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting in big data environments.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience in managing complex deployment infrastructures.
  • Hands-on experience in software architecture, design, and testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data flow automation tools such as Apache NiFi and Airflow.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) vs Functional Design Approaches.
  • Exposure to event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with development tools like Spring, Maven, GIT, and uDeploy for continuous integration and delivery.
