Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strong relationships with independent hotels in your region. This role involves comprehensive key account management, ensuring the sustained performance and growth of the portfolio. You will be required to travel extensively to meet with hotel partners, providing expert advice, conducting metrics analysis, and offering recommendations aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship and Account Management

  • Engage with independent hotels to foster strong, productive relationships.
  • Manage the entire account lifecycle, ensuring sustainable performance across the region.
  • Source and onboard new hotel partners, expanding the portfolio.
  • Conduct site visits to provide expert insights, analyze metrics, and offer industry best practice recommendations to hotel partners.

Portfolio Management and Growth

  • Drive net revenue growth by developing and executing business plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Ensure inventory levels meet market demand and maintain rate competitiveness across platforms.
  • Strategize to enhance hotel marketability and help partners grow their businesses.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships through regular training on our extranet and wholesale business.
  • Review monthly production reports and provide feedback to top-producing hotels.
  • Develop and share MIS and market intelligence reports, prepare geography-wise and service-wise sales plans, and ensure their achievement.
  • Share market insights with clients and internal stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.

Negotiation and Deal Management

  • Initiate, negotiate, and close deals with hotel partners.
  • Network effectively to build strategic partnerships and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with partners to meet customer needs while driving mutual business growth.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s degree from a reputed institution.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales, travel trade, key account management, contracting, or B2B sales.
  • Experience in managing multiple accounts or partners is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is essential.
