We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer to join our world-class Cybersecurity team. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute large-scale cybersecurity initiatives using cutting-edge technologies such as Terraform, Python, and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). You will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructures to support Visa’s ongoing security transformation.

What You'll Do
- Architect and implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions tailored to business and security requirements.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage cloud environments in a secure and consistent manner.
- Automate deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and safe software releases.
- Enhance DevSecOps practices by embedding security controls and policies early into the development lifecycle.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate security tools, enrich threat intelligence, and enable automated response capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, engineers, architects, and security teams to harden cloud environments and reduce security risks.
- Monitor cloud services for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance violations using both open-source and commercial tools.
- Lead the troubleshooting of complex production issues and drive root cause analysis to resolution.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI/ML, LLM technologies (e.g., ChatGPT), and GitHub Copilot, and assess their use in security automation.
What We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years with a Master’s degree in a related field.
- Strong expertise in AWS or Azure Cloud Security. Holding expert-level certification (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) is a big plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Python programming, Terraform scripting, and automation.
- In-depth knowledge of Cloud architecture, especially within security contexts including containerization, distributed systems, and network security.
- Hands-on experience deploying and securing workloads in cloud environments and familiarity with hybrid cloud setups.
- Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps pipelines, including security automation tools, static/dynamic code scanning, and secrets management.
- Experience working with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
- Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT for integrating AI in security processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify, triage, and remediate cloud security issues.
