As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes for container orchestration. You will be responsible for designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, administering CI/CD tooling, and ensuring seamless integration with Kubernetes environments. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing monitoring and alerting systems to uphold high availability and performance standards for Kubernetes clusters and applications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct DevOps maturity assessments and implement improvements in alignment with best practices.
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Develop and oversee CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, and other cloud-native tools.
- Administer, install, and maintain CI/CD tooling to ensure seamless integration and automation.
- Establish and manage monitoring and alerting systems for Kubernetes clusters and applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Advocate for and implement infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in Kubernetes and containerization to evaluate their potential impact on cloud infrastructure.
- Apply SRE principles and promote the adoption of everything-as-code methodologies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 8 years of the overall experience, with at least 5 years in a DevOps or similar role, demonstrating expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Profound understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and SRE concepts, including deployment strategies and infrastructure administration.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Terraform, ARM, JSON, Python, Bash, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins and Argo CD and their integration with Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform for managing Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on automation.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
