We are on the lookout for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who can lead the design, implementation, and management of robust cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep technical understanding of cloud environments, enterprise SaaS and PaaS deployments, and a keen eye for security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Design & Implementation
- Architect, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions leveraging Azure IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS services.
- Design network components such as virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, load balancers, and gateways to ensure optimal connectivity and performance.
- Focus on automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to promote consistency, repeatability, and efficiency.
Enterprise Application Management
- Configure, deploy, and manage enterprise SaaS and PaaS applications hosted on platforms like IIS and Apache.
- Optimize application performance through monitoring, tuning, and regular health checks.
- Ensure high availability and seamless user experiences across hosted services.
Security & Compliance
- Implement stringent identity and access management controls including RBAC, least privilege access, and role enforcement across all Azure resources.
- Align infrastructure and processes with compliance frameworks including SOC 2 Type 2 and PCI-DSS.
- Conduct regular security reviews, audits, and vulnerability assessments to maintain compliance posture.
Database Reliability Engineering
- Administer hybrid Microsoft SQL Server environments with a focus on performance tuning, availability, and resilience.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data assets.
Collaboration & Incident Response
- Work closely with Development, Security, and IT Ops teams to streamline triage processes, resolve incidents efficiently, and minimize downtime.
- Use cloud-native diagnostic and troubleshooting tools to rapidly isolate and resolve issues.
Continuous Improvement & Automation
- Promote a DevOps culture by implementing automation for provisioning, deployment, and configuration using ARM templates, Terraform, and PowerShell.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Azure Pipelines to streamline code delivery and infrastructure changes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve cloud architecture to enhance performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Monitoring, Logging & Optimization
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics to ensure infrastructure health and uptime.
- Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and cost inefficiencies.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Develop thorough documentation of all infrastructure components, workflows, and recovery procedures.
- Lead knowledge sharing and mentoring initiatives within the team to upskill peers and enhance operational readiness.
Required Skills and Experience
- Cloud Expertise. In-depth experience with Azure infrastructure services including virtual networks, load balancers, storage accounts, and Azure Active Directory.
- Security and Governance. Strong command of cloud security principles, including encryption, RBAC, MFA, audit logging, and network segmentation.
- Database Management. Proficiency in managing SQL Server databases in hybrid cloud environments, including backup, replication, and DR planning.
- Monitoring Tools. Experience with Azure-native tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Automation & IaC. Practical experience with ARM templates, Terraform, and scripting languages like PowerShell for automation.
- CI/CD Pipelines. Hands-on knowledge of building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Compliance Frameworks. Familiarity with industry-standard compliance requirements including SOC 2 Type 2 and PCI-DSS.
- Collaboration & Communication. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams and lead through influence.
