Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our Oracle Support organization. In this role, you will provide post-sales support and solutions for our innovative VDI product, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful implementation. As a primary point of contact, you will advocate for customer needs, resolve technical issues, and offer guidance to both customers and internal Oracle teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional post-sales support, addressing technical questions and issues related to our VDI product and Electronic Support Services.
  • Serve as a customer advocate, facilitating relationships between customers and Oracle Support.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and develop solutions for complex customer issues independently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated issues and provide technical expertise.
  • Utilize your knowledge in cloud services, VDI technology, and identity management to support customer needs.
  • Engage in proactive problem resolution, leveraging your skills in troubleshooting and technical analysis.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  1. Operating Systems. Proficient in Linux and Windows.
  2. VDI Technology & Identity Management. Experienced with VDI technology and related identity management solutions.
  3. Networking. Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, IPsec, SSL VPN, load balancing, routing protocols, SSH, and network monitoring/troubleshooting tools.
  4. Cloud Services. Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, migration processes, and tools.
  5. Technical Expertise. In-depth experience with OCI compute, storage, network, database, or analytics.
  6. Programming Skills. Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, Python, and web technologies. Experience with RESTful APIs is essential.
  7. DevOps. Familiarity with tools such as Ansible, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  8. Authentication. Basic understanding of various authentication methods (2FA, RSA).
  9. Azure Skills. Experience with Azure and Oracle Database Service for Azure is advantageous.
  10. Java. Good understanding of Java errors and exception handling.
  11. Soft Skills. Strong team player with excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written). Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards support roles.
