As a Cloud Ops Build & Automation Specialist, you will play a key role in executing the tools and processes to enable Cloud Ops Infrastructure as Code. This is a 12-month contract opportunity, initially remote, transitioning to onsite work in Saint Petersburg, FL, post-restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Execute tools and processes to enable Cloud Ops Infrastructure as Code.
- Bridge the gap between Development and Operational teams, ensuring alignment with acceptance criteria and gathering requirements.
- Work in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments, adapting existing methods and procedures to create alternative solutions to complex problems.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and delays, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Lead small teams and/or work efforts, contributing to a team-oriented environment and providing training to fellow team members.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Infrastructure Automation using Terraform.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with scripting using Python, Unix/Linux Shell, JavaScript, PowerShell, or comparable languages.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with command-line experience in Linux and Windows.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or other Cloud infrastructure environments.
- Experience with code repository management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
- Experience with Infrastructure Automation using Ansible or other comparable tools.
- Experience with Containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or comparable tools.
- Experience with implementation of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Industry experience is preferred.
