We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument Cluster Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and validating instrument clusters for automotive applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of instrument clusters through comprehensive testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Instrument Cluster Testing. Demonstrate extensive experience in testing instrument clusters, including functional, performance, and reliability testing.
- System Knowledge. Possess strong overall system knowledge encompassing instrument clusters, analog and digital systems, and navigation systems.
- CAN Protocol. Proficient in CAN protocol with practical experience in analyzing CAN communication and resolving related issues.
- UDS Protocol. Strong understanding and practical experience with UDS protocol for diagnostic communication in automotive systems.
- Manual Testing. Experience in applying manual testing concepts, understanding testing terms and definitions, and executing test cases effectively.
- Tools Proficiency. Practical experience with CanOE (CANoe) for simulation and testing, as well as CAPL for scripting and automation.
- Hardware Bench Setup. Ability to set up hardware benches for testing purposes and analyze issues related to hardware-software interaction.
- Trace Collection and Bug Reporting. Skilled in collecting traces, logs, and other diagnostic data, and proficient in documenting and reporting bugs effectively.
- Attention to Detail. Strong attention to detail with a meticulous approach to testing and problem-solving.
- Team Collaboration. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, contribute to discussions, and share knowledge and insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- X+ years of experience in instrument cluster testing or related automotive testing domains.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
