Job Description

As a Computer Scientist 1, you will be an integral part of the Adobe InDesign development team. InDesign is a leading application for creating professional documents for print and digital media, including posters, books, eBooks, and interactive PDFs. You will work on complex engineering challenges related to typography, layout algorithms, graphics handling, and UI design.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Ownership. Take end-to-end responsibility for product solutions, ensuring they are designed, built, tested, and deployed to meet high-quality standards.
  2. Collaboration. Work closely with product management, experience designers, and quality engineers to define and implement feature requirements.
  3. Agile Environment. Engage in a dynamic and fast-paced work setting, adapting to changes and contributing to an agile development process.
  4. Mentorship. Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Education. B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from a premier institute.
  • Experience. 4 to 6 years of hands-on design and development experience.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in C/C++.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with application development on Windows and Macintosh platforms.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and their application to real-world problems.
  • Experience with automation tools and performance tuning.
  • Attitude: Proactive with a strong “can-do” attitude and a willingness to tackle challenges.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Experience in client-server/web-based development.
  • Familiarity with SOA/Microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Ability to develop scalable, cloud-enabled, distributed solutions.
