We’re currently seeking a passionate, business-savvy Data Scientist to join this transformative journey. What You’ll Do
- Champion Customer-Centric Insights. Dive deep into customer behavior, product usage patterns, and business trends to deliver actionable insights that fuel adoption and growth across Microsoft Security products.
- Build & Refine Metrics. Define key product and business metrics. Align them with overall organizational goals and identify opportunities for optimization and experimentation.
- Transform Data into Opportunity. Work with massive volumes of structured and unstructured data. Apply statistical models, ML algorithms, and experimentation to inform hypotheses and improve decision-making.
- Be a Cross-Functional Collaborator. Partner closely with engineering, product management, marketing, and leadership teams to develop data-driven strategies that support service adoption and revenue growth.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve. Keep your finger on the pulse of evolving AI/ML and analytics trends to ensure our practices stay innovative and competitive.
- Communicate Insights That Matter. Translate complex data into compelling visual stories. Present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including executives and cross-org teams.
- Mentor & Multiply Impact. Support the growth of other data scientists and data engineers within the team, sharing best practices and fostering a data-first culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Education. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a data scientist or in a related analytical role, ideally within a product-driven or SaaS environment.

Technical Expertise

Strong grounding in statistical modeling, A/B testing, causal inference, and machine learning techniques.

Demonstrated experience working with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, etc.).

Proficiency with analytics tools (Python, R, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau) and cloud data ecosystems.
- Communication & Visualization. Ability to craft clear, concise narratives from data insights and effectively communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Product Mindset. Experience building or influencing product and business metrics. A deep appreciation for customer needs and user-centric growth strategies is essential.
- Hands-On AI Exposure. Practical familiarity with AI technologies and their application in real-world product environments is a plus.
- Growth Orientation. Prior experience in supporting a subscription business or driving customer/user growth initiatives is highly desirable.
- Collaboration. Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations.
