As a DataStage Consultant at Infosys, you’ll play a vital role in the success of client projects, collaborating closely with clients to ensure top-notch quality assurance, effective issue resolution, and high customer satisfaction. In this position, you’ll be responsible for understanding client requirements, participating in solution design, and validating the architecture to deliver exceptional service. Key Responsibilities
- Client Interface & Quality Assurance. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining high-quality standards and resolving any project issues swiftly to ensure client satisfaction.
- Project Estimation & Solution Delivery. Participate in project estimation and provide strategic inputs to enhance solution delivery and mitigate risks through technical risk planning.
- Technical Leadership & Code Optimization. Lead and guide your team to develop efficient, high-quality code. Conduct code and unit test plan reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
- Knowledge Management & Process Adherence. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. Ensure compliance with company guidelines and processes.
- Efficient Program Development. Contribute to building robust, efficient programs that align with clients' needs and contribute to their digital transformation journey.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technology Proficiency. Expertise in DataStage and knowledge of more than one technology.
- Architecture & Design Fundamentals. Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles, including SOLID design principles and software modeling methods.
- Quality Assurance. Comprehensive understanding of software quality assurance principles and the project lifecycle for both development and maintenance.
- Agile Methodologies & Testing Tools. Familiarity with agile practices and tools, with the ability to apply them to project work.
- Estimation & Quality Processes. Knowledge of various estimation methodologies and quality assurance processes.
- Business Domain Insight. Basic knowledge of business domains, enabling you to interpret and align with client requirements effectively.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug and resolve issues efficiently.
