Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transforming and automating our solution delivery pipelines. You’ll work closely with the DevOps Architect to design and implement seamless automation strategies that improve time-to-market, reduce costs, and elevate quality standards.

Your work will span across tool installation, configuration, reusable code development, CI/CD pipeline design, testing, and lifecycle management of the deployed solutions. You will also have the opportunity to step into a coaching role, guiding Agile and DevOps practices within cross-functional teams.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement robust CI/CD pipelines that automate the provisioning of virtual machines and other infrastructure components.
  • Use tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, and Red Hat Satellite to enable continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to create delivery workflows that enhance development speed while maintaining high quality.
  • Lead efforts to automate deployments for applications hosted on-premise and in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles using Terraform to manage and replicate development environments.
  • Drive process efficiency by building scripts, utilities, and automation tools that support code analysis, testing, and deployment.
  • Proactively monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot build or deployment failures, and implement solutions to enhance scalability and reliability.
  • Stay current on the latest in CI/CD, DevOps, containerization, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of continuous learning, and contribute to internal DevOps knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices in CI/CD, security, and maintainability.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or CI/CD Developer, with hands-on work in

    • Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Linux Virtualization, Red Hat Satellite

    • Shell scripting, Bash, Python, or PowerShell

    • Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift

  • Deep understanding of version control systems, especially Git, and modern branching strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD for on-premise and cloud-hosted applications.
  • Practical expertise in containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker within CI/CD contexts.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and a solid understanding of DevOps principles and the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex build and deployment issues efficiently.
  • Certifications in DevOps, Linux, Azure, or AWS are highly desirable and considered a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration across diverse teams.
