Reporting to the Compliance Director for Source to Pay (Direct & Indirect), this role focuses on driving control transformation and oversight of SOX controls within Supply Chain owned areas. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HP standards, overseeing process documentation, supporting control owners, and driving process improvements through automation and efficiency enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Control Owners (Finance & Operations) to maintain current SOX documentation and ensure alignment with HP standards.
- Lead process documentation efforts including 404 documents, Visio diagrams, and risk & control matrices.
- Provide expertise and support to control owners for remediation or implementation of new key controls.
- Identify pain points and opportunities for process improvements; work with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, automated, preventive controls.
- Prepare and report on SOX status for Source to Pay (Direct & Indirect), potentially developing reporting dashboards.
- Deliver compliance training and guidance as necessary.
- Lead business initiatives, providing guidance to analysts across multiple finance sub-functions.
- Drive control improvements through automation, rationalization, and process changes.
- Represent the business unit in cross-regional or cross-functional planning processes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to analysts.
Education and Experience Required
- First-level university degree with a focus in accounting or business; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
- Typically, 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst, with exposure to multiple finance functions.
- Ability to work effectively across different time zones.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and controls, with advanced knowledge in at least one area.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Yellow or Green Belt certification is a plus).
- Familiarity with creating process flows using Visio.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, not limited to finance partners.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Power BI for dashboard reporting.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong business application skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Superior communication and influencing skills.
