Job Description

At Infosys, we are committed to empowering our clients with cutting-edge technology solutions that drive digital transformation. As a GCP DevOps / GCP Admin, you will be an integral part of our cloud consulting and delivery team, working at the intersection of infrastructure, automation, and innovation. You will play a crucial role in enabling our clients to leverage the full potential of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud solutions that are scalable, secure, and reliable.

What You’ll Do

  1. Problem Solving & Client Engagement. Work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and objectives. Use your GCP expertise to diagnose issues, analyze gaps, and identify areas for improvement in existing cloud architectures and DevOps processes.
  2. Solution Design & Implementation. Design innovative and efficient cloud solutions that align with business goals. Collaborate with architecture and development teams to configure and deploy GCP services, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and IAM.
  3. Configuration & Deployment. Lead the configuration and automation of infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager. Set up CI/CD pipelines using GCP-native tools like Cloud Build or integrate with third-party systems such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  4. Workshops & Demos. Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) and Proof of Technology (PoT) sessions for clients to demonstrate the capabilities and performance of proposed solutions. Lead conference room pilots (CRPs) to validate designs and gather feedback.
  5. Proposal Development. Play a key role in solution proposals by contributing technical insights, effort estimations, and architectural inputs. Ensure alignment with client budgetary constraints and Infosys financial standards.
  6. Project Leadership & Delivery. Manage small to mid-sized cloud and DevOps projects independently. Drive delivery excellence by ensuring high-quality standards, optimal resource utilization, and proactive risk management.
  7. Collaboration & Innovation. Actively participate in internal initiatives, knowledge-sharing sessions, and cloud CoEs (Centers of Excellence). Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

What Sets You Apart

  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP infrastructure services and DevOps tools.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management using Stackdriver (now Cloud Operations Suite) or other observability tools.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices deployment on GKE.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize cloud costs.
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
