Within GHI, the Special Circuits Horizontal team focuses on crucial aspects such as local and global clocking for large-scale designs including GFX Imaging processors, PCIe, Type-C, Display, Media, and SOCs. We are currently seeking a skilled Graphics Hardware Clocking Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of Clock Distribution Networks. Manage complex high-speed global and local clock distribution networks to achieve optimal power and performance targets for our advanced designs.
- Collaboration and Design. Work closely with Architects, PnP (Plug and Play) team, and Execution team to identify and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Design various digital/analog circuits including dividers, delay lines, and droop mitigation circuits.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 16 years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with at least 14 years of industry experience.
Technical Expertise Required
- VLSI Circuit Design. Proficiency in digital circuits (e.g., dividers, delay lines, duty cycle correctors).
- Clock Design. Expertise in global and local clocking topologies (e.g., clock spine, H-tree, Multi source CTS).
- SOC and Graphics Clock Architecture. In-depth understanding and experience.
- Layout and DRCs. Ability to read layouts and understand design rule checks (DRCs).
- Simulation and Analysis. Proficiency in device-level simulations, variation analysis (e.g., Monte Carlo), and static timing analysis.
- Scripting. Familiarity with TCL or Python.
- APR Flows. Knowledge of Automatic Place and Route (APR) flows like ICC2.
