Job Description

The Data Center & Artificial Intelligence Group (DCAI) at Intel drives the company's evolution from a PC-centric to a data-centric company, supporting cloud computing, artificial intelligence, 5G, and high-performance computing.

Mandatory Skillset

  1. Excellent C/C++/Scripting Programming Skills. Proficient in C/C++ programming with experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
  2. Hands-on with Linux Kernel System Software Development. Strong background in developing and debugging in Kernel Mode Driver (KMD) and User Mode Driver (UMD) areas.
  3. Experience in Development and Debugging in KMD/UMD Area. Proven track record in system software development within the Linux kernel environment.
  4. Proficiency in Working with Git. Demonstrated expertise in version control systems, particularly Git.
  5. Linux Open-Source Upstreaming Exposure. Experience with contributing to the Linux open-source community and upstreaming code.
  6. Design Thinking Mindset. Ability to conceptualize and design Linux-based solutions based on project requirements.

Nice To Have

  1. Awareness and Hands-on Experience with KMD Display Drivers. Familiarity with display driver technologies such as 4K displays, HDR, and IP enablement.
  2. Hands-on Graphics Display Technologies. Practical knowledge of Graphics Display technologies like DisplayPort, HDMI, Type C/TBT, and Display Power Management.
  3. Good Exposure to Linux Upstreaming. Experience with upstreaming patches and contributing to Linux kernel development.
  4. Dynamic Environment Adaptability. Capability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Self-Starter with Strong Problem-Solving Skills. Proactive approach to problem-solving with a high level of autonomy.
  6. Excellent Team Player. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  7. Experience in Working with Cross-Geos Teams. Previous exposure to collaborating across geographical locations.
  8. Excellent Writing and Communication Skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Qualifications

  1. Education. B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  2. Experience. 5+ years of overall experience in relevant fields.
