Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hogan Developer to join a high-performing team working with one of the largest banks in Australia. This role is focused on change management within the Hogan platform, specifically the Deposit System (IDP/IDS) module. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mainframe technology and 3+ years of experience with Hogan. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating within squads to deliver and test changes, ensuring a seamless production release cycle. Familiarity with mainframe development, production verification testing, and Agile methodologies will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Design Creation. Craft clear and comprehensive technical designs aligned with project requirements.
  2. Coding and Testing. Perform coding and unit testing for conversions, customizations, and interfaces.
  3. System Configuration. Configure systems to meet project needs, ensuring stability and functionality.
  4. Documentation and Collaboration. Support business requirements gathering, and contribute to design documentation as required.
  5. Testing Support. Assist in both System and Acceptance Testing phases to ensure quality standards.
  6. Production Verification Testing. Validate code functionality during production release cycles.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

  1. Mainframe Expertise. 6+ years of experience in mainframe technology, including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and IMS, as well as tools like Expeditor, Endevor, and File-Aid.
  2. Hogan Deposit System. Minimum 3+ years of recent experience in Hogan development with functional knowledge in Hogan Deposit System (IDS/IDP).
  3. Banking Domain Knowledge. Understanding of banking operations and systems to support project-specific requirements.
  4. Team Collaboration. Ability to work as a proactive team player and handle multiple projects concurrently.
  5. Organized and Self-Driven. Demonstrate an organized, disciplined approach to work with strong initiative and adaptability.
