Microsoft OneDrive iOS team is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to join their remote team in Vancouver. This role focuses on developing and maintaining the OneDrive app, which integrates deeply with Microsoft’s cloud services. You will be working on enhancing user experiences for managing critical content such as photos and documents, contributing to the team’s mission to revolutionize digital storage and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development. Design, develop, and maintain new features for the OneDrive iOS app, using Swift and SwiftUI to create high-quality, pixel-perfect experiences.
- Performance Optimization. Analyze and optimize app performance based on user feedback, experiments, and performance metrics.
- Code Improvement. Continuously refine and improve the codebase, implementing best practices and proposing new approaches to enhance app functionality and stability.
- Mentoring. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
- Collaboration. Work closely with other engineers across Microsoft to understand requirements, collaborate on solutions, and deliver high-impact features.
- Innovation. Stay updated with industry trends and integrate cutting-edge technologies to keep the OneDrive app at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications
Required
- Education. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in native iOS development, including proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
- Technical Skills. Solid experience in writing unit tests and a background in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Security Requirements. Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check and other relevant security screenings.
Preferred
- Testing and Optimization. Experience in writing UI tests and a passion for performance optimization using tools like Instruments.app.
- iOS Architecture. High proficiency in iOS architecture, frameworks, and the Xcode IDE.
- App Experience. Previous experience with large-scale mobile applications and a deep understanding of the iOS build system.
- DevOps. Familiarity with pipeline automation and DevOps practices is a plus.

Compensation
- Base Pay Range. CAD $83,600 - CAD $159,600 per year.
