Job Description

Microsoft is looking IT Service Operations Associate in Vancouver Canada.


Responsibilities

 

  • Manage daily operational activities, respond to incidents, and support customer requests.
  • Manage, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for system infrastructure across a diverse set of Operating Systems, software, & hardware.
  • Provide technical support of both hardware and software deployed in the environment
  • Diagnose and resolve problems quickly while providing a great customer service experience
  • Communicate technical concerns and work with Engineering peers to help solve system and service issues
  • Perform end to end systems lifecycle management across a mix of physical, Hyper-V, and Azure based environments
  • Maintain security patch, antivirus, and intrusion prevention services to meet corporate mandated compliance levels across the engineering systems
  • Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures and Trouble Shooting Guides to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction of the engineering systems and services
  • Partner with Service and Software Engineering peers on improvements and changes to the engineering systems


Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements:
 

  • Information Technology Associate degree or 2 + years in a related field, e.g. a system administrator type role
  • In-depth knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Windows operating systems
  • Ability to manage dynamic operational workload
  • Excellent communication and cross-discipline collaboration skills
  • Flexible and easily adaptable


Experience in these a plus:
 

  • PowerShell to perform administrative tasks
  • Mac and Linux operating systems
  • System Center (Microsoft Endpoint) products such as SCCM or SCOM
  • MS SQL or other database languages
  • Azure PaaS and IaaS deployments
  • Change, incident, problem management, Postmortem and RCA processes
