Responsibilities
As a One Engineer, you will be responsible for development, testing, and test automation. Embracing the principles of Scrum, we believe in every team member being capable of every task, whether it's development or testing. Your day-to-day activities will include.
- Designing, documenting, and implementing technical solutions for provided requirements.
- Maintaining and enhancing the current system in areas of performance, scalability, and testability.
- Conducting test planning, testing, and writing automated tests.
- Innovating to resolve complex issues, improving development, testing, and operations.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to implement both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Helping establish and follow key technical architecture and design guidelines, advocating for new technologies/tools.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and promoting Agile principles.
- Communicating solutions and updates clearly to team members and senior management.
- Ensuring software meets quality, testability, security, modifiability, and extensibility requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- BE/BTech/MTech/MCA degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of programming experience in Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL, and web services.
- Knowledge of Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Programming Paradigm, and SOLID principles.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in database design, fine-tuning complex T-SQL queries.
- Understanding of HTTP, internet protocols, and web browsers.
- Proficient in unit testing, mocking, and integration testing.
- Ability to analyze and extract functional requirements.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills (both technical and non-technical).
- Experience troubleshooting production and QA environments (network, database, etc.).
- Configuring and maintaining application and database servers.
- Natural collaborator, comfortable working in cross-organizational teams across multiple time zones.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in Finance/U.S Payroll domain.
- Good understanding of networking concepts.
- Proven interest and experience in developing tools.
- Experience leading and coaching other developers.
- Familiarity with data privacy and protection legislation, such as GDPR.
