Responsibilities
As a Senior Web and Mobile Applications Engineer, you will take ownership of the entire lifecycle of high-performance web and mobile applications, ensuring their seamless operation and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include.
- End-to-End Development and Operations. Spearheaded the development and maintenance of cutting-edge web and mobile applications, ensuring their smooth functioning and optimal performance.
- Architecting and Scaling Engineering Platforms. Design and scale engineering platforms to minimize technical debt, enhance performance, and foster agility in product development.
- Cultivating Innovation. Lead by example and be hands-on in projects to foster a culture of innovation and rapid execution within the engineering team.
- Building Best-in-Class Platforms. Develop top-notch web platforms to address and enhance the dynamism of the marketplace, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
- Collaboration with Business Stakeholders. Interface with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define deliverables, leveraging your engineering expertise to ensure timely product delivery.
- Technical Ownership. Act as the technical owner for a portfolio of products, including proprietary web applications, automated reporting tools, front-end applications, and data engineering initiatives.
- Process Improvement. Continuously refine and improve delivery processes to streamline workflows and enhance productivity within the engineering team.
- Talent Management. Lead the talent management effort for the technology team, overseeing hiring, development, training, and retention initiatives to build and retain a high-performing team.
Requirements

- Hands. On Technical Expertise: I have demonstrated an ability to work hands-on with technology, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on scalability.
- Adaptability and Multitasking. Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic startup environment, managing multiple tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Project Management Skills. Excellent prioritization and project management skills, with experience working in various agile frameworks and project tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Expertise in Web Technologies. Proficiency in languages such as React.js, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, with experience developing applications using multiple stacks.
- Scaling Experience. I have a proven track record of scaling web applications and building large-scale setups based on service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices.
- Data-Intensive Application Development. Experience in architecting, designing, and delivering data-intensive applications, leveraging modern web UI frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Quality-Focused Development. Experience leading QA/testing functions and implementing automation techniques to ensure ongoing quality of delivery.
- Infrastructure Knowledge. Expertise in building high-throughput, low-latency web services and familiarity with modern web paradigms such as REST, Responsive Web Design, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- AWS Experience (Preferred). Familiarity with architecting systems for AWS is a plus, along with proficiency in other technology stacks, including middleware, integration, and enterprise architecture.
- Team Management Skills. I have prior experience managing engineering teams and leading talent management efforts, and I am passionate about fostering a startup culture within the team.
