Role Overview
As a Software Engineer in Quality Engineering at Adobe, you will be an integral part of the Illustrator Ecosystem team, empowering over 3 million active users with new capabilities. You will be responsible for leading the product/features through the entire lifecycle, from requirements to delivery.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Relevant College Diploma or 4-6 years equivalent QE industry experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in manual testing for a Product Company.
  • Experience in integration testing of features for Desktop Products.
  • Ability to devise plans for exploratory testing and execute them to identify risks, communicating them based on technical knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities/Complexity/Impact

  • Collaborate with development and other QE teams on test execution.
  • Write, maintain, and execute testware (test cases, plans, reports, etc.) for complex features.
  • Drive end-to-end testing of assigned features.
  • Create periodic reports on the status of features under test.
  • Interact with customers for feedback on new features and hard-to-reproduce issues.
  • Work closely with Technical Support to gather customer feedback and ensure resolution.
  • Participate in customer engagement channels.

Technical Competency

  • Inspire a high level of confidence in testing abilities with limited oversight, often specifically requested by developers to test important or at-risk functionality.
  • Estimate and schedule own work accurately and with little supervision.
  • Investigate and resolve complex and multi-faceted issues, driving them to closure.
  • Preference is given to candidates with an artistic bent of mind.

Team Work

  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure feature completeness.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
