Job Description

At GlobalLogic, we are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our dynamic team, where you will be pivotal in building, testing, and maintaining cutting-edge infrastructure and tools. These systems will facilitate the rapid development and release of software and updates while pushing the boundaries of AI/Machine Learning technologies. In this role, you will be at the forefront of working with video information and IoT systems, contributing to the evolution of advanced products and systems that leverage the power of AI, machine learning, and computer vision.

We are looking for a candidate who not only has a strong technical background but also excels in collaborative teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate their needs into actionable development strategies and bring innovative ideas to life. Key Responsibilities

  1. Infrastructure & Development Tools. You will be responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure that streamline our development and release processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing time to market.
  2. Code Design & Maintenance. A core aspect of your role will be designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and tested code in Python, as well as other applicable languages and libraries. You will ensure that the code is optimized for scalability and performance, adhering to best practices in software engineering.
  3. Stakeholder Communication. You will act as a bridge between stakeholders and developers, ensuring that the needs of the business are effectively communicated and incorporated into development plans. Your ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions will be crucial for the success of this role.
  4. Automation & Process Improvement. As part of the development and release processes, you will identify areas where automation can reduce manual intervention, improve workflows, and accelerate deployment cycles.
  5. Machine Learning & Computer Vision. You will leverage your expertise in AI and machine learning to drive innovation in video technologies, such as preprocessing, neural nets, and computer vision, while deploying solutions in production environments at scale.
  6. Continuous Learning. Staying on top of trends and advancements in AI, computer vision, and machine learning is essential. You will contribute to the team’s knowledge growth by applying the latest technologies and research to develop advanced solutions.
  7. Testing & Code Analysis. A critical part of your responsibilities will involve testing and analyzing code written by others to ensure quality and adherence to best practices. You will work alongside developers to ensure that systems are reliable, secure, and performant.
  8. Security & Risk Mitigation. As an integral member of the team, you will ensure that the systems and solutions you work on are secure and protected against cybersecurity threats. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving any potential vulnerabilities within the system.
  9. Collaborative Development. Working closely with other developers and engineers, you will ensure that development processes are followed, and that the products are working as intended. Your collaborative efforts will help maintain a high standard of quality in all phases of software development.
  10. Project Planning & Management. You will actively participate in project planning, offering insights into technical feasibility, timelines, and resource allocation. Your leadership will help guide projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications

  1. AWS Expertise. You should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with AWS services and products, including but not limited to AWS Batch, SageMaker, StepFunctions, and CloudFormation/CDK. Your experience with cloud infrastructure will be key to ensuring scalable and efficient deployment of solutions.
  2. Python Proficiency. A deep understanding of Python and its ecosystem is essential. You should have experience developing, testing, and deploying Python applications, particularly in the context of machine learning and AI.
  3. Machine Learning/AI Experience. With at least 3 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or computer vision development, you will be able to design and implement advanced ML algorithms, and optimize models for real-world applications.
  4. Leadership Skills. You will be expected to provide technical leadership to a team of developers. Your ability to guide, mentor, and ensure that the team adheres to best practices and secure coding principles will be essential to the success of your projects.
  5. Linux & Bash Knowledge. Familiarity with Linux utilities and Bash scripting is required, as this will form the backbone of your development and deployment processes.
  6. Containerization with Docker. Experience working with Docker for containerization is preferred, as it enables scalable and portable deployments.
  7. Data Pipeline Frameworks. Familiarity with data pipeline frameworks like MetaFlow is a plus, as these tools streamline the flow of data across various stages of processing and model deployment.
  8. AWS Specific Tools. Experience working with AWS Fargate, Lambda, SQS, ALB/NLBs, SNS, and S3 is highly preferred. These tools will be integral in the deployment and scaling of machine learning models and AI solutions.
  9. Practical Experience in Computer Vision/ML at Scale. Your experience deploying computer vision and machine learning solutions into production at scale will be crucial for ensuring the successful implementation of advanced technologies in real-world environments.
  10. Tools & Technologies Exposure. Hands-on exposure to tools and technologies like Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe, Pandas, NumPy, and DVC/CML is desirable. Familiarity with these tools will enable you to build state-of-the-art machine learning models efficiently.
