We are seeking candidates with extensive knowledge and experience in MYSQL architecture, replication, query tuning, performance tuning, upgrade, installation, backup & recovery, and monitoring to join our team at Infosys. As a MySQL Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective design, development, validation, and support of MYSQL databases for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of client requirements and translate them into system requirements.
- Estimate work requirements accurately and provide project estimations to Technology Leads and Project Managers.
- Design, develop, validate, and support MYSQL databases to meet client satisfaction levels.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems, including handling incidents, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing change management processes.
- Develop and implement Linux shell scripts for automation and optimization purposes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Manage a team of 10+ members, including preparing rosters, managing conflicts, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MYSQL database administration.
- Proficiency in MYSQL architecture, replication (GTID), query tuning, performance tuning, upgrade, installation, backup & recovery, and monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of Linux shell scripting.
- Familiarity with MYSQL versions 5.7.x and 8.0.x, as well as engines such as InnoDB and MyISAM.
- Experience in providing 24x7 support for critical production systems and preparing RCAs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in rapidly changing environments.
- Experience with Oracle DB and MS SQL will be an added advantage.
