Behind the seamless online experience lies the work of our Technical Infrastructure team, from data center maintenance to building cutting-edge platforms. As part of this team, you'll contribute to keeping Google's product portfolio running smoothly and efficiently, pushing boundaries and striving for excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with network routing protocols, design, and troubleshooting, preferably with network equipment providers.
- 3 years of experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Linux/Unix operating systems, Internet-based applications, and web servers.
- Experience in network engineering and wireless technology (e.g., WiFi, LTE, 5G).
- Proficiency in networking, storage, Python, Shell Scripting, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in coding or scripting languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Network (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA-CCIE, or JNCIE).
- Experience with large-scale network design.
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration or automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled configuration changes to network switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- Identify and resolve network issues, providing effective solutions.
- Assist in automating configuration processes for Linux servers and network devices.
- Contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of lab and production network infrastructure.
