Coforge is seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer with expertise in network management, security, and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities
Network Configuration & Troubleshooting
- Configure and troubleshoot network switches, focusing on VLANs, trunking, ACLs, port channels, port mirroring, and spanning tree protocols.
- Implement and manage Layer 2 redundancy protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP.
- Work with a variety of routing protocols, ensuring efficient and secure network connectivity.
Network Security
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE and 802.1x authentication methodologies for enhanced security.
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls (preferably FortiGate and Cisco) to maintain high security standards across the network.
Cloud Networking
- Basic understanding and experience with Azure fundamentals and cloud networking.
- Ability to manage network integration with cloud environments to support scalability and resilience.
Wireless Technology (Good to have)
- Familiarity with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
Qualifications and Skills
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting switches and routers in both Layer 2 and Layer 3 environments.
- Strong understanding of network redundancy and security protocols.
- Experience with multi-vendor firewalls is essential, familiarity with FortiGate and Cisco devices preferred.
Cloud Fundamentals
- Knowledge of Azure networking and its integration with on-premises environments.
Preferred Skills (Optional but advantageous)
- Exposure to wireless technology, particularly Cisco WLCs and WAPs, is a plus.
