This is a senior role within the Network Security Engineering team which is part of Global Network Services. The team members are highly skilled and experienced professionals. The team has 6 members (including this position) and is globally responsible for the security of the network which includes both external and internal security of the infrastructure.
Some of the main area of activities of the team are:
- New product evaluation, testing and selection
- Provide training material and presentation
- Work closely with Risk management and various engineering team
- Define global standards for network security
- Write design, deployment and operation documentation
- Provide consultancy to the business
- Provide third level support for the Ops and deployment
- Assessment of the vulnerability and options to resolve them
The external connectivity includes: the design of the Firewalls for the Internet hosting, Extranet, Intranet VPN and Internet access infrastructure.
The Internal security includes: Network link level authentication and access control, internal secure zones, IP telephony and definition of security configuration for network devices.
The tasks:
- Market research and product selection and evaluation
- Definition of the network security standards and guidelines
- Design solutions and provide supporting documentations
- Provide consultancy to the business
- Provide third level support for our products
Requires occasional weekend or out of hours work and trip to other regions.

Essential Skills:
- Strong report writing
- Strong analytical skill
- Very good Presentation and articulation
Technical Skills:
- Strong UNIX background
- Strong knowledge of network security practices
- Very strong knowledge of FW technologies
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies, routing and switching
- Strong knowledge of management systems, LDAP and authentication systems
