Job Title. Operating System Security Developer
Responsibilities
Designed, developed, and supported new features and functions for the AIX Operating System.
Implement new security policies/standards for AIX.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Senior leaders, and customers to understand business needs and incorporate them into AIX.
Adhere to the AIX development process for successful component delivery.
Required Technical Skills
- 6 to 10 years of experience in Platform Security Development.
- Strong skills in C programming.
- Experience in Algorithms, Data Structures/File Structures.
- In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux internals, including multi-threading, synchronization, and Kernel programming.
- Hands-on experience in platform Security Engineering, covering areas such as authentication, authorization, Trusted Execution, System Auditing, Secure Boot, Encryption Techniques, etc.
- I have developed experience in access control policies like role-based access control (RBAC), multi-level security (MLS), encryption, key management, vulnerability assessments, and credential/secrets management.
- Familiarity with SSL/TLS protocols, authentication protocols (SSO, OAuth2, SAML), application security, cryptography, PKI, network security, IP security, IKE, TCP/IP, and network protocols.
Additional Skills
- Proven debugging, troubleshooting device drivers, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with customers, understand their requirements and implement new features.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple locations worldwide.
Preferred Experience
Prior Operating System development experience in UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris, AIX) or Linux Operating systems.
