We are looking for an experienced Oracle PLSQL Developer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database-related code, including stored procedures, views, triggers, and packages. You will work on optimizing and improving database structures, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to business solutions by designing and developing relational databases.
Key Responsibilities
- PL/SQL Development. Develop and maintain PL/SQL code including stored procedures, views, triggers, packages, and functions.
- Database Design & Optimization. Design and implement efficient database structures and recommend improvements to enhance application performance.
- Data Management. Handle data loading and data import/export using tools like SQL Loader. Manage large data sets effectively.
- Business Solutions. Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and design the database relational model, ensuring it aligns with business needs and objectives.
- Data Warehousing. Contribute to the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions, applying relevant data warehousing concepts and techniques.
- Database Utilities. Utilize DBMS utilities for data manipulation, and optimize the usage of partitioning (hash, range) to improve query performance.
- Collaboration. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that PL/SQL packages and database structures meet the business requirements.
- Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning. Monitor existing code and make recommendations for changes to improve performance and meet evolving business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in PL/SQL development, including working with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
- Extensive experience in data import/export (e.g., using SQL Loader) and using database utilities for data manipulation.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, collections objects, hash and range partitioning, and database programming best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting for database administration and maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with job schedulers for automated tasks and processes.
- Experience with databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, Neteeza, and DB2 is desirable.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, experience in large data handling, and working in investment banking or similar sectors is a plus.
- Experience in designing database objects for high-volume transactional systems.
- Knowledge of additional databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, Neteeza, or DB2.
- Data Warehousing concepts and experience in designing data pipelines and architectures.
- Investment Banking experience and understanding of financial data systems.
- Familiarity with Job Schedulers and automation of database maintenance tasks.
