What You’ll Bring
- Experience. 1-3 years in Digital Product Design. Experience working on consumer products is a plus but not a must. Fintech experience? Great, but not essential.
- Design Obsession. You’re passionate about creating experiences that simply work. A portfolio showcasing your expertise is a must.
- Craft Mastery. You’re well-versed in user flows, task flows, and IA diagrams. Whether you prefer Figma, Sketch, or XD, you understand the nuances of each tool. Bonus points if you can create micro-interactions with tools like Principle, AfterEffects, or ProtoPie.
- Collaboration. You thrive in cross-functional teams and can work closely with Product, Engineering, Business, and CX teams to ensure alignment with the design vision.
- Ownership. You’ve shipped products, and you know what makes them succeed—or you’ve learned valuable lessons from failures. You take ownership of both outcomes.
- Business Savvy. While we don’t expect you to wear a suit, you should be comfortable talking business and understanding the impact of design on company goals.
Your Role at PhonePe
- Deep Dive into the ‘Why’. Every design starts with a strong understanding of user needs and behavior. Expect to engage in insightful discussions and sketch out ideas that address real challenges.
- User-Centric Design. You’ll translate your ideas into robust user flows and interfaces that are consistent, intuitive, and delightful.
- Collaborative Execution. Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to bring your designs to life, ensuring they perform seamlessly.
- Tracking Success. The designer’s journey doesn’t end at launch. You’ll obsess over numbers—tracking both growth and usability metrics to refine and improve your work.
Qualifications
- A degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, or related fields—or equivalent practical experience. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in Consumer Product Design, UX Research, or Product Design Services.
- Strong visual design fundamentals and a solid grasp of UX principles.
- Proven experience designing consumer products.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
