Job Description

As a Program Manager within HP’s Inkjet Supplies organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of key initiatives. Working directly with the Director of Portfolio & Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of complex programs, driving strategic alignment, and fostering collaboration across multiple functions. This role demands exceptional program management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate a dynamic, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Program Oversight & Coordination. Lead and manage a portfolio of programs, ensuring timely tracking of milestones, deliverables, and overall execution. Align program goals with strategic business objectives to drive operational and business outcomes.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration. Act as the primary liaison between various departments including project management, engineering, intellectual property, business analytics, marketing, and supply chain. Facilitate integration and alignment of cross-functional efforts to achieve business goals.
  3. Strategic Support. Contribute to strategic planning efforts for operational excellence and portfolio optimization. Support the effective allocation of resources and optimization of workflows to enhance in-market implementation of hardware and supplies.
  4. Performance Management. Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs), ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership.
  5. Issue Escalation & Resolution. Proactively identify potential risks and issues in program execution. Escalate as necessary and work with senior leaders to address and resolve challenges, ensuring successful program outcomes.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement. Manage expectations and communication with senior leaders, outsourced partners, and suppliers regarding program deliverables, costs, and timelines. Ensure transparent and consistent stakeholder communication.
  7. Process Improvement. Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes, support cost reduction initiatives, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and program success.
  8. Mentorship & Development. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team leads and managers. Contribute to building a performance-driven and collaborative culture within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in program management or operational roles within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Strong leadership and influencing abilities with a track record of working directly with senior executives.
  • Excellent project management skills with the capability to handle multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly across all organizational levels.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on operational efficiency and strategic execution.
