Project Manager

Infosys is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead performance engineering initiatives. This role involves collaborating with design teams, architects, product owners, and third-party vendors to implement performance tuning solutions for cloud and on-premises applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in performance engineering, including Big Data, Payments, and cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.

You will lead the design, development, and execution of performance test plans for a variety of systems, including multi-cloud and third-party applications. You will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks, optimizing performance, and collaborating with various teams to implement improvements. The role also involves developing performance testing scripts and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities

1. Custom Coding & Performance Tuning. Build custom tools using Java to implement performance tuning solutions.
2. Capacity Planning & Chaos Engineering. Contribute to capacity planning and lead chaos engineering efforts to ensure system resilience.
3. Cloud & Big Data Testing. Conduct performance testing on Big Data, Payment solutions, and multi-cloud applications using Azure, AWS, and Cloudera Big Data technologies.
4. Automated Testing. Develop and maintain automated performance testing scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
5. Collaborate Across Teams. Work closely with DevOps, data engineering, and development teams to implement performance improvements.
6. Reporting & Recommendations. Analyze performance test results and provide detailed reports with optimization recommendations.
7. Mentoring. Guide and mentor team members on performance testing best practices and methodologies.

Additional Skills & Requirements

1. Strong Analytical Skills. Outstanding problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
2. Customer Interaction. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
3. Experience with Cloud Services. Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Spark, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake.
4. Big Data Technologies. Experience with Cloudera Big Data, Kafka, Oracle, and Teradata.
5. Scheduling & Batch Processes. Familiarity with batch process management using Control-M scheduler.
6. Performance Testing Tools. Hands-on experience with various performance testing tools.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in managing large-scale performance engineering projects, with a focus on Big Data and cloud applications.
• Strong knowledge of performance engineering in payment systems and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a fast-paced development environment.
