As a member of the prestigious Infosys Consulting team, your role is both dynamic and impactful. You will be at the forefront of shaping transformative technology-driven solutions for clients across industries. With a strong foundation in Python, Node.js, and automation testing frameworks like Pytest, you will play a crucial part in the software development lifecycle—right from requirement analysis and solution design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
You will be responsible for leading and supporting automation initiatives, developing scalable back-end systems, and ensuring the quality of deliverables using industry-standard practices and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Consulting and Client Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business challenges and delivering value-driven solutions.
- Lead engagement efforts for complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client expectations.
- Interface with stakeholders across different functions to capture requirements, demonstrate prototypes, and guide them through solution adoption.
Software Development and Automation
- Design and develop robust and scalable applications using Python and Node.js.
- Build and maintain Python-based automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and eliminate manual tasks.
- Use Pytest for unit and integration testing, ensuring code quality and reliability.
- Implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability.
Software Configuration Management
- Work with version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) for continuous integration and automated deployments.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment pipelines and environment management.
Project Delivery and Team Collaboration
- Follow Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure iterative progress and stakeholder visibility.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and testers on the team.
- Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and proactively address risks and roadblocks.
Skills and Competencies
Technical Proficiency
- Strong experience with Python programming, including automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Node.js, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on expertise with Pytest, Selenium (optional), and other automation tools.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), shell scripting, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Domain Knowledge
- Familiarity with at least two to three industry domains, such as Finance, Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, etc., to provide context-aware solutions.
- Understanding of financial processes, project accounting, and pricing models in a service-based organization.
Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical and logical thinking, with the ability to solve problems creatively.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align technical decisions with strategic objectives.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client interfacing.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, ensuring knowledge sharing and alignment toward common goals.

- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Awareness of latest trends in technology, including AI/ML integration in automation.
