As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to maintain high software quality standards while improving test processes and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Cypress (preferred), Selenium, and Postman.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to validate new features and enhancements across web applications.
- Design and implement test cases, test plans, and test strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with developers to conduct code walkthroughs, identify bugs, and suggest improvements.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) to integrate automated tests within the deployment process.
- Troubleshoot and debug test failures, analyze logs, and provide detailed defect reports.
- Ensure that test environments are properly set up, including data preparation and test configurations.
- Maintain and enhance the defect tracking process using tools such as GitLab, Jira, or VSTS.
- Perform API testing to validate back-end services and integrations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality-focused development practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in QA and test automation.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Test Automation.
- Expertise in Cypress (preferred) or Selenium for web automation testing.
- Strong JavaScript coding skills for writing automated test scripts.
- In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, test strategies, and software development processes.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking systems (GitLab, Jira, VSTS, etc.).
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and working with Jenkins.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for better test validation and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with performance testing tools and frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Docker for setting up test environments.
- Familiarity with TypeScript for improved test script maintainability.
