As a React Developer at GlobalLogic, you'll be an integral part of our team, responsible for developing and maintaining highly dynamic user-facing features using React.js. The role will require you to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code that aligns with best practices while optimizing applications for maximum speed and efficiency.
Your primary focus will be on building reusable components and libraries to ensure high scalability and performance. You’ll also work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services, helping to bridge the gap between server-side and client-side development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop User-Facing Features. Build and maintain dynamic, responsive user interfaces using React.js.
- Reusable Components. Design and implement reusable components and libraries to facilitate the development of scalable applications.
- UI/UX Feasibility. Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure the feasibility of designs and implement them accurately.
- Performance Optimization. Optimize applications to ensure fast load times and smooth interactions, particularly on mobile devices.
- API Integration. Work with back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs and other services.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging. Identify and resolve application issues promptly.
- Clean Code Practices. Write maintainable and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices.
- Code Reviews. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.
- Collaboration. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
- Stay Updated. Keep yourself informed of the latest trends and advancements in front-end technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in React.js. In-depth experience with React.js and its core principles, such as hooks and component lifecycle.
- JavaScript Expertise. Strong command over modern JavaScript (ES6+) and associated tools such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM.
- State Management. Experience working with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
- CSS Proficiency. Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and CSS pre-processors like SASS or LESS.
- API Handling. Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous JavaScript (AJAX, Fetch).
- Responsive Design. Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development strategies.
- Version Control. Familiarity with version control tools like Git for collaborative development.
- Testing Knowledge. Experience with front-end testing libraries such as Jest, Enzyme, and React Testing Library.
- Agile Development. Ability to work within an Agile environment, contributing actively to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
