We are seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team working on a cutting-edge 5G benchmarking tool project. Project Description
In this role, you will be involved in developing and maintaining the framework and network functions that integrate our 5G test and monitoring solution. Our current product is a containerized micro-services solution, leveraging technologies such as Docker, Asynchronous Python, HTTP/2, and OpenAPIv3, among others. This project provides unparalleled exposure to the latest telecom standards and networking technologies, making it an exciting opportunity for those passionate about cutting-edge innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated and manual test cases for functional and non-functional requirements, with a focus on automation (approximately 60% automation to 40% manual).
- Update and maintain test plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Develop utility libraries using Python as part of the test automation framework updates.
- Execute test cases manually and automatically, emphasizing integration into existing CI/CD pipelines.
- Create, track, and verify defects identified during test case execution.
- Identify and propose improvements to QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Mandatory Skills
- Proficiency in microservices architecture and parallel programming.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in REST API testing.
- QA automation background with exposure to WebUI testing using Selenium WebDriver.
- Knowledge of test automation process and frameworks.
- Basic understanding of containers and testing applications deployed in containerized environments.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, particularly in the Telecom domain.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with the full QA lifecycle, demonstrating a methodical and analytical approach to testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Theory.
- Previous experience in the Telecom domain or similar industries.
- Experience setting up or updating CI/CD pipelines for test integration phases.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for on-prem and in-cloud solutions (EKS/GKE).
