Microsoft is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Leader for Application Development to join our Azure App Innovation business. This role is crucial in leading a high-performing team of App Sales Managers, Sales Specialists, and Technical Managers. The position focuses on driving sales, nurturing customer relationships, and leading the App innovation business across enterprise customers in India. As a leader, you will be responsible for managing a team, fostering a collaborative culture, and driving sales excellence in the rapidly evolving tech market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Azure App Sellers covering Enterprise customers.
- Hire, onboard, and develop App Specialist sellers, setting a clear bar for excellence and building a diverse, high-performing team.
- Coach and enable teams to identify, qualify, and accelerate Azure App pipelines, solving for blockers and escalations.
- Accountable for the App Innovation business, driving sales, and building relationships with key technical decision-makers and influencers.
- Provide clarity on enterprise-wide App migration, modernization, and transformation. Address topics like information security, data governance, and compliance.
- Lead AI business transformation across the Enterprise business as part of App migration and modernization plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with business leaders from top Azure Data & AI Global System Integrators and Partners.
- Drive alignment and partnership with internal stakeholders (Account teams, Customer Success teams, Engineering, and Product Leadership).
- Provide high-quality insights, manage pipeline operations, and deliver accurate deal forecasts.
- Demonstrate expertise in driving operational excellence, including pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
- Possess strong cross-team collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with Microsoft stakeholders in the subsidiary and Asia region.
Qualifications
Experience
- 15+ years of relevant experience in sales, team management, application development, or related fields.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale application development projects and sales teams.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in building and nurturing high-performing teams.
- Deep expertise in the Azure App landscape, including data and AI solutions.
- Ability to build trust and provide clarity on complex technical topics to enterprise customers and partners.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on cross-team engagement and stakeholder management.
Educational Background
- Relevant academic background or equivalent experience in a related field.
