As an Application Innovation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales of Microsoft's Application Innovation portfolio to our enterprise clients. With a focus on Azure Platform, PowerApps, GitHub, and Visual Studio, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with key decision-makers, understanding customer challenges, and identifying opportunities for modernization and innovation within their application estate.
Responsibilities
- Build executive-level relationships with key decision-makers to influence strategic direction towards Microsoft solutions.
- Understand customer's application landscape, digital transformation needs, and business priorities to identify modernization opportunities.
- Collaborate with customers to outline business priorities and decision criteria, leading solution design with technical acumen.
- Conduct architecture design sessions and build Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate solution fit and value.
- Engage partners to maximize business results, co-selling Microsoft solutions alongside partner offerings.
- Develop business cases to substantiate the value of the solution and negotiate deals to successful closure.
- Drive multi-million-dollar deals by orchestrating virtual teams composed of industry, solution, technical, and legal experts.
- Exceed sales and cloud consumption quotas by effectively managing pipeline and accurate forecasting.
- Share customer feedback and best practices to influence Microsoft's Go-To-Market and product strategies.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 3+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience; OR 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Technology, or a related field AND 4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR 4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
- Certification in any public cloud and cloud-native or Low-Code technologies.
- Certification/training in sales, business value selling, and consulting selling methodologies.
Professional Skills
- Sales or consulting experience with data center migration or application modernization/cloud-native projects.
- Experience selling cloud application platform services, databases, developer productivity tools, and Low-Code tools.
- Industry knowledge of application landscape and trends in verticals like FSI, Retail, Manufacturing, etc.
- Executive presence with experience selling to Chief Digital Officers, Head of Products, and enterprise solution architects.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of cloud architectural patterns leveraging managed or Platform-As-A-Service offerings.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies like Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless, and APIs.
- Subject Matter Expertise in modernizing Java applications on cloud and Enterprise Integration Services.
- Understanding of Low-Code platforms like Power Platform and associated use-cases.
