As part of the India Consumer Technology (ICT) group at Amazon India, the Category Experience & Expansion (Catex) team is a crucial component of the business's success. The team's mission is to elevate Amazon India by converting millions of offline customers into online customers through building strategic capabilities. The role involves creating tailor-made solutions for each category, making online shopping easy for customers. In this position, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of solutions, from design and execution to deployment and support. Leveraging a variety of tools, including AWS EC2, SNS/SQS, Dynamo DB, Sable, Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, CloudFront, ElasticSearch, Big Data, Machine Learning, Android, iOS, Amazon Horizonte, Datapath, Amazon API, JavaScript, and React JS, you will maintain high code quality. The role involves optimizing development processes, mentoring junior engineers, and thriving in a fast-paced environment with rapid product and feature delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior and principal engineers to architect and deliver high-quality technology solutions.
- Own development in multiple layers of the stack, including distributed workflows hosted in native AWS architecture.
- Maintain operational rigor for a rapidly growing tech stack.
- Contribute to patents, tech talks, and innovation drives.
- Assist in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.
- Measure success metrics and influence the evolution of the tech product.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
