As a Security Consultant at Tech Mahindra, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining the security posture of the organization. Your responsibilities will include collecting and documenting business requirements, providing technical guidance on security matters, and ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects. You will also be involved in creating and reviewing security policies and procedures, conducting assessments, and leading security working groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering. Collect and document business requirements, interfacing with project delivery teams to ensure alignment with security needs.
- Technical Guidance. Provide complex technical guidance on current security posture and recommend effective solutions.
- Project Management. Break up effort and investment required for tasks, plan for contingencies and risks, and ensure successful delivery of small and large projects without escalation.
- Process Improvement. Fine-tune security processes, policies, standards, and procedures. Identify areas for improvement in security solutions periodically.
- Security Assessments. Conduct security assessments, reviews, and audits. Create and review security procedures and provide management with updates.
- Vendor Liaison. Interact with vendors and subject matter experts to provide guidance and meet customer expectations.
- Training and Development. Develop and conduct training programs for team members. Lead one security working group (e.g., Network security, Cloud security).
- Documentation. Create security templates and quality gates for design documents, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. Write white papers.
- Performance Metrics. Identify data for measuring KPI and KRAs of individuals working on projects. Plan practical milestones.
Required Skills
- Security Consulting. Experience in security consulting, including vulnerability assessments and recommending effective security solutions.
- Technical Expertise. Knowledge of security processes, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Project Delivery. Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects, ensuring quality output and addressing risks.
- Vendor Interaction. Experience interacting with vendors and external support services.
- Training and Leadership. Experience in developing training programs and leading security working groups.
- Documentation and Reporting. Strong skills in creating security documentation, templates, and white papers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are advantageous.
