The Cybersecurity team at Visa is seeking a highly motivated Senior Cybersecurity Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, innovative security solutions and has the technical skills to back it up. You’ll play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-native security controls and automation frameworks to defend against evolving cyber threats and protect Visa’s massive global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of security controls across Visa’s cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) in a multi-cloud environment.
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to build secure cloud-native applications, aligning with Visa's security and compliance goals.
- Engineer and implement proactive threat detection, prevention, and response solutions to protect critical systems and data.
- Enhance and maintain automation frameworks using Python, Terraform, and other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
- Build and maintain integrations between various security tools through APIs, driving automation for threat intelligence, monitoring, and incident response.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies, conducting proof-of-concepts and driving technical innovation.
- Support and enhance Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAAP).
- Drive initiatives focused on continuous compliance, automated vulnerability management, and remediation tracking.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with emerging security trends, cloud technologies, and evolving threat landscapes.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or similar.
- Experience leading large-scale cloud security projects or working in highly regulated environments (e.g., PCI, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Exposure to DevSecOps tools and best practices.
- Background in secure software development life cycle (SSDLC), secure coding, and API security.
