We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer with 8 to 14 years of industry experience to join our growing technology team. This is a critical role that blends software development, operations, and infrastructure management, ensuring smooth, reliable, and scalable deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation across our organization.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust CI/CD pipelines, automating system processes using Python and Java, and leveraging cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS to support our software engineering teams. You will also play a key role in improving observability, monitoring, and logging frameworks using tools like Elastic Stack, with a focus on parsing and analyzing log data via regex and Grok.
This role requires a strong foundation in DevOps practices, scripting, cloud technologies, and configuration management tools. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery lifecycle, enabling faster, automated, and more reliable deployments.
- Create and maintain robust automation scripts using Python and Java to simplify infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Utilize regular expressions (regex) and Grok patterns for parsing, filtering, and extracting structured data from log files to aid in debugging, monitoring, and analytics.
- Architect and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective AWS cloud infrastructure to support development and production environments.
- Collaborate closely with software development teams, QA, and operations to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration of code into production environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices and version-controlled configuration using Ansible, Puppet, or other similar tools (a plus).
- Implement and support centralized logging and monitoring solutions using tools such as the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) (a plus).
- Stay up to date with emerging DevOps trends, tools, and technologies and advocate for best practices and process improvements across teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of focused experience in a DevOps role, with overall 8+ years of experience in IT or software engineering.
- Expertise in writing and optimizing regex and Grok patterns for log parsing and data extraction.
- Hands-on experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and Java, you should be comfortable building automation tools and utilities to solve real-world problems.
- Deep understanding of AWS services and architecture, including but not limited to EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch.
- Experience working with source code management tools such as Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
- Familiarity with Ansible or Puppet for configuration management and infrastructure automation (nice to have).
- Exposure to Elastic Stack or similar logging and monitoring tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
